So, when I first met Cara & Patrick, I immediately felt a little intimidated - Patrick is tall, has his head shaved, and is a veteran of the Marines, while Cara is a world-traveler and looks like a model. But after chatting with them for a few minutes on our way to the first location at their engagement session, I realized what an awesome couple they were. Patrick never takes himself seriously, is one of the most humble guys I've ever met, and is extremely appreciative for everything (he even called me after the engagement session to thank him for making him look so good - I've NEVER had a groom personally call me to thank me before!), and Cara is hands-down one of the most kind and caring individuals I've ever spoken to while also having the same appreciate attitude that Patrick has.
The best part? They gave me total freedom to do whatever I wanted at their engagement session (and wedding) which lead to me being able to get some really creative images - you can view their engagement session here. Needless to say, these two were a pleasure to work with.
Shout to my friend Joshua Mitchell for photographing alongside with me.
For Photographers: I used a combination of the D750 & D5 with the 14mm-24mm/24mm-70mm/35mm/45mm/58mm/60mm/85mm lenses. I also used an SB-910 and SB-700 during reception triggered with the YN-622 trigger system (which I've since replaced with the Godox trigger system & flashes). Enjoy!
