Nubia + Pavan | Hilton Torrey Pines | La Jolla Wedding Photographer
Having never attended an Indian wedding (yet alone photographed one), I was quite ecstatic when I got the chance to photograph Nubia & Pavan's wedding celebration. Indian weddings have such beautiful color, ceremonies, and traditions, that I really wanted to make sure I focused on capturing the event at it's best - from the gorgeous ceremonies & baraat, to the pure joy and epic dance moves at the reception.
I met Nubia & Pav earlier in 2016 when I photographed their engagement session at Sunset Cliffs, so I knew they were totally down with anything creative I had in mind. I had a few creative concepts that I wanted to pull off - and these - along with staying wide awake for an entire 16 hours of coverage - made this one very challenging day (both mentally and physically).
Side note - if you’re not familiar with Indian Weddings , be sure to read this Indian Wedding glossary my good friends over at Plan Events created.
Shout to my good friend Joshua Mitchell for photographing alongside with me.
For Photographers: I used a combination of the D750 & D5 with the 14mm-24mm/24mm-70mm/35mm/45mm/58mm/60mm/85mm lenses. For the off-camera lighting in the reception, I used 3 Flashpoint flashes, triggered by an on-camera flash. If you have any technical questions, please leave them in the comment's section below!
Enjoy!
