Last year I lived in an awesome surf town by the name of Carlsbad, CA.  I met Monique & Ryan a few months before I moved down to San Diego when they moved in next door - needless to say, I was pretty stoked when they contacted me to photograph their engagement session!

The original shoot location was flooded due to some rain the past weekend, so we decided to spontaneously go to Batiquitos Lagoon for the majority of the session and then head to South Ponto Beach for sunset.  

For photographers: I used a Nikon D5 for 90% of the images, only switching to the Nikon D750 when I needed the extra dynamic range.  For the images posted, I used a 45mm, 58mm, and 35mm lens.
